Update from your Neighbourhood Policing Team

Dear Resident

It was another busy weekend for Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPTs) across #Dacorum, with patrols, operations and invites to several community events in the calendar!

• During foot patrols in #Berkhamsted, PCSO Brown and PC Stover popped into Berkhamsted Court House, to speak with members of the public about topics such as how to spot scams and preventing burglary, as well as the work that is being done around the local policing priorities.

• Following feedback from members of the public, speed checks were carried out in Warners End Road and Galley Hill in #HemelHempstead and on #Marykate High Street.

• NPT representatives attended the Armed Forces Day event in #HemelHempstead town centre.

• NPT were joined by the Community Engagement Team at the Dacorum Families SEND information fayre.

They were also invited to attend several events at local schools and childminders, where the police car proved very popular with youngsters! Visiting schools is a great way to engage with families and speak to them about any issues relevant to them. It also helps to build positive relationships with children from a young age.

Alongside the NPT, #Dacorum is also policed by Intervention officers who respond to emergency calls, the Local Crime Unit which investigates the more serious crimes such as burglary, robbery and assault, and specialist units who work to tackle issues such as acquisitive crime and domestic abuse.
